I’m the heart and hands behind Willow River Blooms.
My love for flowers runs deep, a gift passed down from my beautiful and creative mom, Barb. I’ll forever be grateful for the way she taught me to see the magic in flowers — the way color, texture, and beauty can come together to create something that feels both timeless and alive. That sense of wonder has stayed with me ever since, inspiring everything I create.
I began my floral career as a clerk in my mom’s flower shop, learning the business from the ground up. Over time, I discovered that floral design wasn’t just a skill — it was a calling. With guidance from my mom and some of the Twin Cities’ top designers, I found my passion for wedding florals. Even now, it gives me such a thrill (and a few happy tears!) to know I get to play a small but meaningful part in one of life’s most cherished celebrations.
Since those early days surrounded by flowers, I’ve had the joy of designing weddings throughout the Twin Cities and greater Chicagoland areas. Now, as my husband and I embrace the empty-nester chapter and settle into the beauty of western Wisconsin, I’m excited to connect with couples and families in this new community — and to continue sharing the artistry and emotion that flowers bring to every occasion.
For me, floral design is a form of moving meditation — much like my other passion, yoga. Both remind me to slow down, stay present, and find beauty in each moment. And what a gift it is to share that beauty and harmony with the world.
